Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Teacher and Me (“the service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all tutors and students who use the app.

2. Description of service

Teacher and Me is a Progressive Web App that allows language tutors to create gamified exercise paths, assign them to students, and review per-exercise analytics. The service is free to use.

3. Accounts & responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create a tutor account.
  • Tutors are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate permission to create accounts for any students under 16 years of age.
  • You agree not to share your account with others or allow others to access it.

4. User content

You retain ownership of all exercises, paths, and content you create. By using the service, you grant Teacher and Me a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely to provide the service to you and your students. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights.

5. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teacher and Me shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or €100 if no payments were made).

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Paris, France.
